RM11- Fundamentals of PLCs using Connected Components Workbench and Micr800 Controllers

This is an intensive hands-on learning experience using Connected Components Workbench Version 12 with the Micro850 controller Simulator. All of the lab projects were developed with hardware controllers, not the simulator. However, you may use the Simulator that is provided in Connect Components Workbench Version 12. The software, which includes the simulator, is free. The lectures will reference the simulator but flow seamlessly if you are using a hardware controller...Micro810 is not a good choice.

Completing all of the lab projects with the Simulator will leave you with confidence in the efficacy of the simulator, it behaves 100% like the controller that it is simulating, 2080-LC50-48QBB. For educators, this is an exceptional opportunity to deliver programmable logic controller training with no additional investment beyond the computers that you have available in your classrooms. For electricians and engineers, they can continue the learning experience anywhere they can use their computer.

The lecture subscription includes several basic Electricity & Magnetism lectures that are currently available free on our website. They have been added to the subscription solely for ease of access.

This video subscription supports the third edition of the lab project manual Fundamentals of PLCs using Connected Components and the Micro800 Part One. The lab project manual is a separate purchase from this lecture subscription to allow individual purchases in scenarios where both are not needed or by instructors that purchase multiple manuals and one video subscription for classroom use.

The curriculum is designed for electricians, technicians and engineers that have little or no experience with programmable logic controllers. It is also suitable for technical personnel with experience using controllers other than Allen Bradley, as well as those that need a refresher on PLCs. The course starts at the most fundamental level and progresses with each additional day.

Why we put our emphasis on "Hands-ON" learning...
